Create a Call to Action encouraging email signups on your website.

What is a Call to Action? Click here to learn more.

One of the things we are focusing on during this Challenge are email subscribers. This is because your email list is full of people who are the "warmest" leads (aka the most ready to buy from you at any given time). A major goal we all should have is to try to continue to drive people to sign up for our email lists.

The home page of your website should be one place you absolutely have a link to subscribe.

You may be surprised to hear that a lot of business owners in our industry don't have anything at all on their home page about their email list. If they do, it either is an invalid link (because it hasn't been updated in a gazillion years) or it's buried all the way at the bottom of the page with a generic "For updates and latest news, subscribe to our email list".

When creating a link to sign up for your email list, consider placing higher on your home page, or even create a pop up that prompts visitors to subscriber.

Additionally, try to work on writing a compelling Call to Action that lets subscribers know what they can expect from you (more than updates and latest news - no one cares about updates or latest news, trust me), and why it should matter to them.

The harsh reality is that consumers are always going to want to know what's in it for THEM. They're not doing it because they want to hear your personal diary (I say this with love!). All humans are this way!
